    Protein Oatmeal

    Ingredients:


    90 g (1 cup) quick oatmeal
    2 pinches salt
    540 ml (2 ¼ cups) plant-based milk (e.g. soy or similar)
    1 ½ tsp vanilla protein powder

    Add-ons (optional):
    Fruit of your choice
    Chocolate chips
    Nuts/seeds

    Directions:


    1. First, place the oatmeal, salt, and milk in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
    2. Reduce heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture is thick and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
    3. Remove mixture from heat and stir in protein powder; whisk quickly to prevent lumps. If mixture is a little too thick, add more milk or water to achieve desired consistency.
    4. Serve the oatmeal in bowls with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
    Notes: Adjust consistency – add more milk/water for a thinner oatmeal; to thicken, try adding a tablespoon of chia seeds. Sweeten to taste (depending on how sweet your protein powder is).
