Ingredients:
2 large lemons
5 cups seedless watermelon cubes (about half a small watermelon)
2 limes, juiced
1 cup crushed ice (plus ice cubes for serving)
2 tablespoons sugar (or more to taste)
2 tablespoons honey (or more to taste)
For serving: fresh basil, lemon wedges, and/or watermelon slices (optional)
Directions:
1. Wash and cut the lemons into small pieces, leaving the peel on. Remove the seeds with the tip of a knife. Place the lemon slices in a blender along with the watermelon, lime juice, crushed ice, sugar, and honey. Blend until smooth. Taste and add more sugar or honey if needed.
2. Place a strainer over a pitcher and pour in the watermelon lemonade mixture (you can refrigerate the watermelon lemonade for up to 4 days; stir well before serving).
3. Serve the lemonade with ice cubes, fresh basil leaves, and a lemon wedge.
