This fiber- and protein-packed vegan smoothie is a delicious breakfast idea!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup oatmeal (quick-cooking works too)
1 banana, diced and frozen
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon peanut butter, creamy
1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup (plus more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
Ice cubes (optional; add at the end if you want a thicker smoothie)
Directions:
1. Blend the oatmeal well in a blender.
2. Add the banana, milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
3. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the blender if necessary.
4. Taste and add more sweetener if you prefer a sweeter smoothie.
