    Dukkah

    Dukkah is an Egyptian blend of roasted nuts, seeds, and spices.
    Dip pita or other flatbread in olive oil, then dip in Dukkah spices for a delicious snack!
    Sprinkle these spices on hummus (or other spread), scrambled eggs, avocado toast, grilled vegetables, or salads.


    Ingredients:


    1/2 cup “raw” hazelnuts
    1/4 cup “raw” shelled pistachios
    1/4 cup sesame seeds
    1/4 teaspoon fennel seeds
    3/4 teaspoon ground coriander
    3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon sea salt


    Directions:


    1. In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the hazelnuts and pistachios for about 2 minutes (until fragrant). Add the sesame and fennel seeds. Fry for about 1 more minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
    2. Transfer the nuts and seeds to a food processor. Also add the coriander, cumin, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Process until well combined. Season with additional salt if needed.
