    Air Fryer Tofu

    Tofu is a plant-based protein source that is popular with vegetarians and vegans.
    We recommend serving this air fryer-cooked tofu with rice, stir-fried vegetables, sauce (such as sesame-ginger sauce), etc.


    Ingredients:


    400 g extra firm TOFU
    ½ tablespoon avocado oil
    2 tablespoons TAMARI sauce
    ½ teaspoon SRIRACHA sauce
    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    Directions:


    1. Press the TOFU (optional): Wrap the TOFU block in a kitchen towel or disposable towel. Place a heavy cast iron pan on top and let it stand for 30 minutes. This method will help to squeeze out excess water, so the TOFU will be crispier when fried.
    2. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
    3. In a large bowl, combine the oil, TAMARI, and SRIRACHA sauces. Cut the TOFU into cubes, add to the bowl, and toss gently (it should be well coated with the sauce). Sprinkle with cornstarch, and toss again.
    4. Place the TOFU cubes in a single layer in the air fryer, leaving space between each cube. Do not overcrowd the pan—repeat in batches if necessary. Fry for 11 to 15 minutes—until the TOFU is golden brown (flip halfway through). The exact time will depend on your air fryer. Repeat these steps with the remaining TOFU cubes.
