    Turkey Chili

    Ingredients:

    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1 onion, diced
    1 red bell pepper, diced
1 Jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    700 g ground turkey
    2 tablespoons tomato paste
    2 tablespoons hot spice blend
    1 tablespoon ground cumin
    2 teaspoons ground smoked paprika
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 can (800 g) chopped tomatoes (cooked)
2 cans (400 g each) canned red beans, drained and rinsed under running water
    2 cups chicken stock

    Instructions:

    1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion, red bell pepper, and Jalapeno pepper and sauté for 4–5 minutes (until the onion is translucent). Add the garlic and stir for another 30 seconds.
    2. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula.
    3. Add the tomato paste, allspice, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, and salt. Stir for another minute until fragrant.
    4. Add the canned tomatoes with their juices, rinsed beans, and chicken broth. Stir everything together.
    5. Increase the heat to high and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    6. Divide the stew among bowls. Garnish with sour cream, avocado, scallions, cheese, cilantro, or other toppings of your choice.
