Sautéed cabbage is a great side dish that goes well with a variety of main dishes.
Ingredients:
1 small cabbage
1 small onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons ghee (or a mixture of butter and olive oil)
salt and ground black pepper (to taste)
Directions:
1. Cut the cabbage in half, then into quarters, then thinly slice. Cut the onion in half again, then thinly slice.
2. Melt the ghee in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion for about a minute or until it begins to soften. Then add the minced garlic and stir again.
3. Add the cabbage and sauté for about 12-15 minutes. Stir occasionally, until the cabbage is soft and caramelized.
4. Season with salt and pepper and stir before serving.
