    Asian Peanut Sauce

    We recommend serving this Asian sauce with tempeh, tofu, grilled vegetables, etc.


    Ingredients:


    ½ cup peanut butter
    2 tablespoons rice vinegar
    2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
    3 tablespoons maple syrup
    ½ teaspoon fresh grated ginger
    3-5 tablespoons water or coconut milk (you may need more, depending on the desired consistency)
    ¼ teaspoon chili flakes
    ½ teaspoon garlic powder (or fresh garlic cloves, minced)


    Instructions:


    1. If your peanut butter of choice is not completely smooth, place all ingredients in a small saucepan over low-medium heat. Heat until smooth and creamy, stirring constantly.
    2. Otherwise, place all ingredients in a small bowl and mix with a fork until creamy.
    3. Taste and add more soy sauce if it’s not spicy enough. Add more water or coconut milk if the sauce is too thick.
