    Ginger Tea

    Ingredients:


    A piece of fresh ginger root (2-3 cm), thinly sliced
    1 cup water

    Optional toppings:
    1 cinnamon stick
    2 strips of orange peel
    Honey or maple syrup (to taste)
    Lemon or orange slice (for serving)

    Directions:


    1. Place ginger, water, and desired toppings (cinnamon stick, orange peel, etc.) in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes.
    2. Strain the tea, discarding the ginger slices and any toppings.
    3. If desired, you can sweeten the tea with honey or maple syrup. You can also garnish with a lemon or orange slice.
