    Healthy Homemade Granola

    Granola is a delicious snack that you can serve with your favorite toppings: yogurt, ice cream, etc.


    Ingredients:


    1 cup (100 g) pecans
    ½ cup (80 g) almonds
    ½ cup (60 g) walnuts
    1 cup (100 g) rolled oats (coarse)
    ⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce (homemade or store-bought)
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    3 tablespoons maple syrup
    a handful of dried apple slices (optional)

    Directions:


    1. Preheat oven to 300°F (155°C).
    2. Place half of the nuts in a food processor and pulse until some of the nuts are broken up. You can also use a knife to chop them.
    3. Mix all ingredients well in a large bowl (with a spoon or your hands).
    4. Spread the mixture evenly on a large baking sheet (lined with parchment paper).
    5. Bake the granola for about 30-35 minutes (until crispy and golden brown).
    6. Halfway through the baking time, stir the granola and flip it with a spatula.
    7. Once baked, let the granola cool completely. Then add the dried apple slices.
    8. Transfer to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 30 days.
