    Oatmeal with Bananas

    Ingredients:


    80 g rolled oats
    350 ml water
    maple syrup (to taste)
    cinnamon (optional)
    a pinch of salt
    120 ml milk of your choice
    2 ripe bananas
    3-4 tablespoons yogurt (optional)

    Directions:

    1. Pour water, rolled oats, maple syrup, salt and cinnamon into a saucepan.
    2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 3-4 minutes (or until almost all the water is absorbed).
    3. Then pour in the milk and cook for another 1-2 minutes (or until desired consistency).
    4. Mash one of the bananas with a fork and stir into the oats; then stir in the yogurt (if using).
    5. Let the porridge sit for about 2-3 minutes (it will thicken even more). If you want a thinner porridge, add a splash of milk, or if you want it thicker, continue cooking the oats until you reach your desired consistency.
