Ingredients:
350 g broccoli florets
Extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 200°C; line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Arrange the broccoli florets on a baking tray. Drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper and spread evenly on the baking tray.
3. Bake for 15-22 minutes or until browned around the edges. If desired, sprinkle with pepper flakes and drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
4. Enjoy the baked broccoli as is or serve with other toppings. For example, you can sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese (let the cheese melt) and minced garlic at the very end of baking. You can also serve broccoli with a sauce of your choice (for example, tahini sesame paste, pesto, etc.). You can also serve broccoli with pasta or cooked grains: couscous, quinoa, rice, chickpeas, lentils, or tofu cheese!
