Ingredients:
2 small or 1 large carrot (peeled)
1 frozen banana - peeled, cut into small pieces, spread on a baking sheet with baking paper (to prevent sticking) and frozen in the freezer
¾ cup orange juice, unsweetened
Directions:
1. In a blender, puree all ingredients until smooth.
2. Taste and adjust the sweetness and consistency of the smoothie if necessary. For a sweeter smoothie, choose a very ripe banana; you can also add dates, honey or maple syrup. For a thinner smoothie, add more orange juice (or water), for a thicker smoothie, add more bananas.
Note: Frozen banana will give the smoothie a creamy consistency, so we do not recommend using fresh banana in this recipe.
