    Greek Salad

    Ingredients:


    200g ripe tomatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces or slices
    200 g of chopped cucumber
    1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
    1 medium green pepper, sliced ​​(optional)
    3/4 cup Kalamata olives
    3/4 teaspoon dried oregano
    Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    2 tablespoons red wine vinegar (or more to taste)
    3 tablespoons olive oil (or more to taste)
    100 g of feta cheese, cut into large pieces

    Directions:


    1. Place the chopped onions in a bowl filled with cold water. Let it stand for 10 minutes, drain the water, wash the onions. This step is optional, but it softens the flavor of the onions.
    2. In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, bell pepper, olives, oregano, 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt, and plenty of freshly ground black pepper. Mix well, then set aside for five minutes.
    3. Mix the salad again and sprinkle with red wine vinegar and olive oil.
    4. Add feta cheese and sprinkle with oregano. Delicious!
