Ingredients:
1½ cups of cooked chickpeas; put in a colander and rinse under running water
⅓ cup tahini (sesame paste)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (or more to taste)
1 clove of garlic
½ teaspoon sea salt
5 tablespoons of water (or as much as needed to get the right consistency of hummus)
Ground sweet pepper, paprika flakes and/or fresh parsley (for garnish)
Warm pita bread and/or vegetables (for serving)
Directions:
1. Add chickpeas, tahini (sesame paste), olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and salt to a high-speed blender. Blend until super smooth (add enough water to get the right hummus consistency).
2. Transfer to a serving plate and season with ground paprika, paprika flakes and/or fresh parsley. We recommend serving with warm pita bread and vegetables.
