    Banana Bread Brownie

    105

This is a delicious banana bread-flavored dessert, the texture of which is very reminiscent of a melt-in-your-mouth chocolate brownie.

    Ingredients:

    1 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon of baking powder
    1 teaspoon of baking soda
    1 teaspoon kosher salt
60 g of dark chocolate, chopped into pieces
    1 cup of white sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
    1 large egg
2 very ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
    1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/2 cup chocolate chips

    Additionally:
    12 banana slices (optional)

    Directions:

    1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Generously butter a square baking dish (you can line it with baking paper).
    2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl; set aside.
    3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave (in 15-second intervals, stirring after each interval; 1-3 minutes total).
    4. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer (mixer) until fluffy. Beat in the egg, add vanilla and mashed banana and beat until smooth. Add chocolate and beat until smooth.
    5. Stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips with a spatula, then stir in the flour as well (until the flour kind of disappears). Transfer the dough to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Arrange the banana slices evenly on top.
    6. Bake in the preheated oven until cooked to your desired texture (check by inserting a toothpick - when pulled out it should be almost dry, with just a little bit of wet dough on the very tip). If you want a soft brownie texture, do not overcook.
    7. Allow the "brownie" to cool in the baking dish. Cover, refrigerate until chilled (about 1 hour). Serve chilled. Delicious!
