This crispy cinnamon dessert will decorate your festive table!
Ingredients:
⅓ cup white sugar
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground cardamom
¼ cup white sugar
1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, combine 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom.
2. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup sugar over cooking surface. Spread the puff pastry over the powdered sugar; roll out a 25x40 cm rectangular shape. Brush the rolled dough with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with the prepared sugar mixture.
3. Starting at the long edge of the rectangle, shape the dough by rolling it lengthwise around the filling, stopping at the center of the rectangle.
4. Repeat the same step with the opposite long edge of the rectangle, again stopping at the center - the first and second rolls meet at this point. Wet your finger with water and tap along the edge where the two rollers meet. Put in the refrigerator and keep until the dough is slightly firm (5-10 minutes).
5. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 190 degrees. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
6. Cut the chilled dough into slices half a centimeter thick; place them 2 cm apart on the prepared baking sheet.
7. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until they are lightly browned and crispy (about 12 minutes).
