Cauliflower steak is a great choice for vegetarians, but it will also pleasantly surprise those who like meat dishes.
Vegetables such as cabbage and eggplant can also be made into steaks. This is a great and hearty choice for the festive table!
Ingredients:
1 large cauliflower
3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 ¼ tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1 ¼ tsp salt
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, cut into 1 cm pieces
1 tablespoon of chopped fresh parsley
Lemon slices, for serving
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 230 ° C. Remove the outer leaves of the cauliflower and cut vertically into 4 (about 2 cm thick) parts (steaks). Set the unused part of the cauliflower aside for another use. Arrange the steaks in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
2. Coat both sides of the steaks evenly with oil, sprinkle with lemon pepper and salt.
3. Roast the cauliflower until golden brown on the underside (18-22 minutes). Carefully flip the steaks and continue cooking until tender (8-10 minutes).
4. Remove the steaks from the oven and serve. Brush each steak with butter and let stand for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges. Delicious!
