    Easy Vegan Bean Dip

    This low-fat sauce is made with plant-based ingredients.
    You can top the sauce with fresh herbs, seeds, nuts, or your favorite spices.
    Serve with bread, crackers, chopped vegetables, or spread on a sandwich!

    Ingredients:


    2 cups white beans (CANNELLINI), cooked, drained, and rinsed under running water; canned beans work too
    1 long red or green chili pepper, coarsely chopped
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder (or to taste)
    1 clove garlic (or to taste)
    1 small handful chives (or 1-2 tablespoons dried chives)
    1/8 cup fresh lemon juice (or to taste)
    1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

    Directions:


    1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the bowl a few times. Taste and adjust to your liking.
    2. Transfer to a serving plate, garnish with your favorite toppings (such as fresh herbs, seeds, nuts, or spices of your choice), and serve.
