Cocoa powder is a dry, powdery substance obtained from cocoa beans, which are the seeds of the cocoa tree (Theobroma cacao).
The seeds removed from the ripe cocoa fruit are fermented together with the pulp on them. During fermentation, the increased temperature inside the beans interrupts vital processes, and the organic compounds formed give the beans their flavor. The cocoa beans are processed to extract the fatty component known as cocoa butter, leaving a solid mass known as cocoa solids. Fermented beans are dried - so that as little moisture remains in them as possible and they do not go rancid. In addition, the dried seeds of the cocoa tree are re-picked. These cocoa solids are then ground into a fine powder, resulting in cocoa powder.

It is the highest quality cocoa for baking and beverages.
